The most important question of all time. Are you saved? The enemy (Satan) has tried everything he can to make sure that people are not saved. Including deceiving them into thinking they are saved when they aren't. Look at Matthew 7:21, before proceeding to read any of this page.
If you read Matthew 7:21, now consider the time and setting. It is judgement day and everyone who ever lived now knows without a doubt as they stand before a holy God who know everything about them, that God is real. It would be absolutely crazy to try and lie your way into heaven at this point. So when these people referred to by the Savior claim their salvation, they really believe they are saved. How utterly sad it is to hear the words of the Son of God proclaim, depart from me I never knew you. How could this happen. Simple the enemy came along and lured them off into a false gospel. You must be saved to enter into heaven.
How do we know we are saved? Modern popular Christian culture says all we have to do is believe. This is the first step in being deceived. The bible says that even the demons believe that the Son of God is the Savior. So what is assurance of salvation? Do not rely on this page or anything else except the true Word of the Creator to answer that question.
In Matthew 7:21 Yeshua says " I never knew you". We have to be know by Him. That means 1. We have been called. and 2. We have an intimate relationship with Him. The Believers Assurance can be found in 1 John 2:3-5 "And hereby we do know that we Know him, if we keep his commandments. He that says, I know him and does not keep his commandments, is a liar and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps his word in him surly is the love of God perfected: so we this is how we know that we are in him."
The Savior clarifies it again in John 15:10. " If you keep my commandments you will abide in my love.." John 14:21 " He that has my commandments and keeps them, he is loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved by my Father and I will love him and will manifest myself to him". John 14:15-16, If you love me keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father and he shall give you another Comforter that he may abide with you forever". To have the Comforter forever is assurance of eternal salvation. But proof is found in our loyalty to his commandments and our faith in his salvation power. John 15:10. If you keep my commandments you shall abide in my love even as I have kept my Fathers commandments, and abide in his love."
The Savior tells us that the entire law can be summed up in two commandments. To love God above all others and to love your neighbor as yourself.
Why do you think that you are free from the law?
We are saved by grace. This unmerited kindness given by Yahuea ( the one true God).. Most people who are living in lawlessness argue that we only have to believe, not obey the law. Our obedience is not what saves us, it is evidence of our faith in His gift of salvation. Our obedience is evidence that we are being saved. The 10 Commandments are proof that we need Christ, because even after we are born again, we still break the Commandments (sin). Our obedience is controlled by the living word, which is Yeshua. In 1 John, the word is referred to in the Torah as being there from the beginning. It is an everlasting word that tells the bride (church, called out ones) how to live in the marriage relationship with Yeshua. In Acts 5:32 it says that the Spirit is only given to those who obey him. If you are really saved, you will stop making excuses for breaking his commandments and you will make every effort to obey. If you are saved, you will attempt to obey the commandments. When you fail, which you will, the Holy Spirit will convicet you of your sin and remind you to turn to Christ.
Are you saved?
1. Have you admitted that you are a sinner and can not do anything to gain salvation including obeying the 10 Commandments?
2. Have you called upon him to forgive you of your sins and cleanse you with his blood?
3. Do you agree with God that you are only saved by grace through Christ?
4. Have you surrendered control of your life to Christ. This means living for him and not for yourself?
5. Have you turned from your evil wicked ways to rely only upon Christ for salvation?
6. Have you embraced His Commandments out of your love for Him? If you seek to obey His commandments expecting salvation, you are not born again. But,, if you seek to do your best to obey because of what he did for you on the cross and you see the Commandments as proof that you sin daily and need him, then you are on the way.
